About Thanner A/S

Since 1965 Thanner A/S has supplied equipment to the branch of manufacturers of life saving equipment and today Thanner A/S offers the most complete and versatile range of equipment to this branch which represents manufacturers of SOLAS, Aviation and pleasure equipment.

Thanner A/S is certified to produce components according to the Marine Equipment Directive (MED) – Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED/ADR2017) – and to ISO and IMO standards.

The Thanner range of equipment comprises:Gas inflation systems for: CO2/N2, N2 and compressed air up to a working pressure of 300 bars- 4350 Psi. Thanner Gas inflation systems have been produced since the founding of the company and the range continuously undergoes improvement – development and expansion to meet the requirements to quality, functionality and approvals. The approvals are: MED – TPED/ADR2017 and ISO 15738.

Hydrostatic Release Units: serviceable and disposable units. Hydrostatic Release Units (HRU`s) have been produced since 1984 and today the range offers units for SOLAS equipment, MED and ISO 15734 approved.

Further approvals: US Coast Guard, Transport Canada, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Iceland Maritime Administration.

The range also comprise versions for manual and remote activation and versions of special applications such as release depths from 1 meter to 250 meters of water depth.

Safety Release Hooks for Davit launched Life rafts and for Inflatable Rescue Boats covering a range of safe working load (SWL) up to 50 KN. Safety Release Hooks have been produced since 1992 all types are approved to the requirements of MED and IMO. Further approvals: Transport Canada, Iceland Maritime Administration, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
